Bu sıfırlamaların oluşmaması <br />nedeniyle ark uzamaları oluşmaktadır. DC akımda sigorta veya devre kesicilerin yük altında devreyi keserken ark uzamaları oluşur.<br />Bu nedenle DC sigorta özellikleri AC sigortalardan farklıdır. <br />AC sigortaların DC gerilimde kullanılması bu yüzden sakıncalıdır.
